We have been monitoring discussions and concerns surrounding the Sig Sauer P320 pistol, particularly reports of incidents where the firearm has discharged without an intentional trigger pull. These controversies have been highlighted in various gun-related news sources. We take these matters seriously and have carefully reviewed the available information, including expert analyses and manufacturer responses.

If you choose to use a P320 series pistol at HRPC, you do so at your own risk and the club will not be held liable for any unintended discharges. We cannot overstate the importance of personal responsibility in maintaining a safe shooting environment. Each of us bears the duty to ensure our own safety and that of those around us. We urge every member to exercise the utmost caution and care when handling any firearm, including the P320. This includes rigorously following our club’s rules at all times, with special emphasis on the Four Rules of Gun Safety:

1. Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
2. Never point the muzzle at anything you are not willing to destroy.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target and you are ready to shoot.
4. Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.

If you own or plan to use a P320, we encourage you to stay informed about any manufacturer updates, recalls, or modifications that may address known issues.

Thank you for your continued dedication to HRPC. Stay safe and shoot straight.
